In collaboration with Bruce R. Watkins Cultural Hertitage Center, this year’s celebration will include the return of the popular Chicken dinner in honor of Kansas City native Charles “Yardbird” Parker.

Jazz Talk by Historian Sonny Gibson. Mr. Gibson’s talk, entitled Personal Perspectives of Bird: The man and his music will illuminate his personal reflections of the iconic Kansas City jazz native and share the great work of celebrated jazz artist Eddie Baker.
